Autumn/Winter Inspo

Layer Up

Layers are in this season – make the most of the textures and colours in your wardrobe and layer up for a great autumn day look. Overlap different lengths and colours, leaving your jacket or coat open to show off your carefully thought-out ensemble for the day. Perfect for a day out wandering around stores, if you get too warm or cold simply take off or add layers. Add a chunky knit or frayed scarf on top for a warm, cosy finish.

Go Casual

Ripped jeans, adidas superstar trainers and… a smart military coat. Doesn’t sound right does it? The smart casual look may be popular with the cast of Made in Chelsea but now its taking off in high streets nationwide too. Dig out your old baggy boyfriend denims and match them with some casual trainers or pumps (roll up the ends just to sit above the ankles if you can brave the cold!). We’re going for comfort too so avoid heels. A smart shirt, cotton sweater or blouse will set off your outfit – lastly loosely tie a patterned or chunky scarf around your neck. Complete your outfit with a long length military coat and drape a box bag over your shoulder for a casual yet sassy look.

Remember your sunglasses

We are now nearly into full blown winter and most of you will have packed your sunglasses away for next years spring weekend break. But hold off just yet – its OK to get them back out. Glamorous ladies were often sneered at wearing sunglasses on crisp winter days, but that stereotypical view is finished. Sporting a pair of sunglasses in December is now seen as fashionable accessory to block out the suns harmful and damaging UV rays yet helping you stay on-trend.

Get a BIG scarf

The large chunky scarf has been around for a few winter seasons now, and doesn’t seem to be going anywhere! High street stores are full of these in different colours and textures. Ranging from £9.99 to £49 from popular retailers Primark, Topshop and Zara, choose one that will match the main colours of your jackets and jumpers to get full use out of it. Burgundy, tartan and aubergine purples are big colours this season – team with your favourite denims or black leather look leggings for a night time smart casual outfit. Work a satchel or tote bag with your outfit to finish off.
